Weekend Wanderings: Waterfall
Mists suspended over the mountainous caldera. Clouds heaving with rain. Humidity high. Grass saturated by continuous deluges. A cauldron of green, the Pine trees and ancient Gum Trees dominate the landscape. Flush with native fauna that flock to the crystal clear creek. This is a place for quiet refuge and a place to ponder. To escape. To explore and create. A place to relax.
Do you have a special place you go to relax, to enjoy yourself?

Wow, I love that horseshoe! It's so rusty, are you going to hang it in a doorway somewhere?
ReplyDeleteThanks Ruby, I think my sister-in-law has plans for that horseshoe in her new business adventures. I'm sure there will be plenty more of them anyway! x
DeleteLooks so quiet and peaceful. What a beautiful place to escape to! I'm hankering for an escape, doing some research on destinations tonight ;-) Belinda x
ReplyDeleteThe isolation definitely makes it peaceful! Parents in law can't wait to finally move out there and enjoy the serenity. Hope you managed to book a relaxing getaway. x
DeleteLove the way you have described it all! Magnificent! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! Nature really is so inspiring. x
DeleteHi Claire,
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful up your way! Is it around the Byron Bay area? Lovely. I really love our little patch of earth where we live down here in Tassie - although if you could send some rain down to get rid of these bush fires that would be great. Enjoy your week. Mel x
Sure is! We'll gladly give you our rain- were sick of it! Hope the bush fires aren't too close o your property. x
DeleteHow do you get your son to wear a hat? Since Jarvis turned six months, he refuses to wear a hat. We have a big struggle over it every time we go to the park.

I don't even have to ask him to wear it, he insists I put it on or he does it himself! I've always told him from a very young age (summer or winter) "no hat, no play". Thanks for stopping by. x
DeleteHi Claire - where's our special place? Down near yours! As soon as I tire from the city and/or hubby retires, that's where we'll end up. Thanks for the birthday wishes. xx
ReplyDeleteclaire those pictures are beautiful... Shell Island in Wales is my special place, been camping there every year since i was 2 and my dad's spirit is in those fields and on those beaches xxxxx
