Weekend Wanderings: Waterfall

Mists suspended over the mountainous caldera. Clouds heaving with rain. Humidity high. Grass saturated by continuous deluges. A cauldron of green, the Pine trees and ancient Gum Trees dominate the landscape. Flush with native fauna that flock to the crystal clear creek. This is a place for quiet refuge and a place to ponder. To escape. To explore and create. A place to relax.

Do you have a special place you go to relax, to enjoy yourself?

  1. Wow, I love that horseshoe! It's so rusty, are you going to hang it in a doorway somewhere?

    1. Thanks Ruby, I think my sister-in-law has plans for that horseshoe in her new business adventures. I'm sure there will be plenty more of them anyway! x

    1. The isolation definitely makes it peaceful! Parents in law can't wait to finally move out there and enjoy the serenity. Hope you managed to book a relaxing getaway. x

  4. Hi Claire,

It's beautiful up your way! Is it around the Byron Bay area? Lovely. I really love our little patch of earth where we live down here in Tassie - although if you could send some rain down to get rid of these bush fires that would be great. Enjoy your week. Mel x

  5. How do you get your son to wear a hat? Since Jarvis turned six months, he refuses to wear a hat. We have a big struggle over it every time we go to the park.

    1. I don't even have to ask him to wear it, he insists I put it on or he does it himself! I've always told him from a very young age (summer or winter) "no hat, no play". Thanks for stopping by. x

  6. Hi Claire - where's our special place? Down near yours! As soon as I tire from the city and/or hubby retires, that's where we'll end up. Thanks for the birthday wishes. xx
