Just prior to Christmas, close family friends acquired acreage. Their first foray into the joys of owning acreage and yet another farm for us to visit!
We took a short drive into the hills to visit their lovely expanse of the countryside. Rolling hills, rich volcanic soil, a running creek (complete with a platypus (!) who was in hiding whilst we visited unfortunately), dams full of lily pads, views as far as the eye can see, native finger limes and the all too familiar smell of cow dung.
I can just smell that fresh country air as I type.
Do you like to take trips to the country or are you lucky enough to live there?
I love to take trips to the country. WE have family who live on a farm and both my hubby and I have parents who lived on farms. but for me it's the ocean over the farm I love living near the water xx
